Reading brings me joy and like many readers it serves as an escape from the real world. My bookshelves developed some book cobwebs over the years as life and raising a tiny human took over.
Recent months have brought some self-awareness to my state of wellbeing. So here I go, dusting off my bookshelves so to speak. It’s time to clear out the reading cobwebs.
I gave up on getting my Hogwarts letter and living a magical filled life a long time ago, but habit finds me sticking to tried and true genres of fantasy and mystery fiction titles. Throw in a historical reference component, preferable London, and I’m set.
Figuring that I am an adult now and maybe should expand my horizons, I started to follow top lists and other recommendations.
A few recent titles have kindled the decision to venture out in the world and be vulnerable sharing my ideas and inspiring finds. See below for my recommended reading list.
One of those titles is The Hanging Tree by Irina Shapiro, a dual timeline title with a current day author trying to find her groove and solving the mystery of an accused witch in the early-mid 1600s.
There was something about the writing process, research, and creativity that was part of Nicole’s process, spoke to my creative side. That and a crummy day that you may recall from the About page, truly sparked my brain to pursue this journey thus the development of Titles and Jotters
Content will evolve as I figure out what the heck it is that I am doing but the hope is anyone who reads and follows can find some piece of inspiration or an idea to set themselves off on a better path.

Have you read any of Wendy Webb’s books? She’s called “The Queen of Northern Gothic.” Her books are all mystery/supernatural set around the Great Lakes.
Ahh! I will check her books out. They totally sound up my alley. Thanks for the recommendation!
